Quarella: New products releases

Terrazzo style

For a classic terrazzo look that taps into our ongoing love of white, Quarella introduces a new marble-based composite stone, Artic White.

“Artic White answers the market demand for a large-chip stone finish,” says Quarella managing director Stewart Macciolli. “It's more durable and less porous than traditional terrazzo. Its classic terrazzo look sits between the fineness of Aida and the larger composition of Calacatta and is the start of a larger chip range for Quarella.”

Artic White is available in four sizes: 600 x 600 x 12mm, 600 x 300 x 12mm, 400 x 400 x 12mm and 300 x 300 x 12mm. Tiles are available in a honed finish for non-slip commercial applications and also come in slab form.

All wrapped up

Keep up to date with Quarella’s latest products from your mailbox. Clients’ sample needs can now be met via Australia Post with Quarella’s new sample mailer – designed specifically to hold Quarella’s 90 x 12mm circular composite stone samples with an image and product details of each sample.

This new innovative marketing tool is in addition to Quarella’s existing sample box which houses the complete range of designs, colours and finishes in marble, quartz and chenille finishes.

Wash fits bespoke trend

The catchword of the day is ‘bespoke’, and Quarella’s Wash range of marble-based solid stone shower bases and tiles is perfectly positioned to satisfy consumer demand.

“The current trend for bespoke products sees a growing market for the Wash range,” says managing director Stewart Macciolli. “Our three key designs, Line, Edge and Remo continue to win favour with Australia’s leading architects, interior designers for commercial and domestic environments.”

The eight marble-based finishes in Wash tiles and solid stone shower bases offer a broad choice of colour and style to create a coordinated look across floors and walls that’s both seamless and timeless.

Successful Wash projects include:

Melbourne multi-residential projects by award-winning architects Woods Marsh

• Domain – Wash Edge solid stone shower base and tiles in Madreperla
• Beaconsfield Parade – Wash Line solid stone shower bases and tiles in Aida

Quarella: Project highlights

What drives Quarella’s continued success winning major Australian projects? It’s an ongoing commitment for high standards of professionalism and continued project support along with a unique service offering – to supply, manufacture and install.
Some of Quarella’s key current projects include:

T1 Sydney International Airport – Star Project

Through architectural firm Woodhead International, Quarella supplied 20,000 plus square metres of main body tile (400 x 400 x 12mm) in marble-based Aida with Gemme quartz Magnetite (400 x 400 x 12mm) to all food court areas and treated with R 10+ anti-slip treatment.

Melbourne Airport – International Extension

Through architectural firm Architectus, Quarella supplied 11,000 plus square metres of quartz-based Gris Perlado tiles (600 x 600 x 12mm) treated with R 10+ anti-slip treatment. In the immigration section, Quarella supplied and manufactured the countertops, also in quartz-based Gris Perlado.

R 10 + holds fast amongst anti-slip treatments

Since its introduction in May 2007, R 10+ has fast become the preferred anti-slip treatment for large, medium and small commercial projects for its superior qualities and benefits.

The non-acid etching treatment suits most floor surfaces, including quartz-based tiles, as it won’t alter the surface’s appearance.

Australian building codes and Occupational Health & Safety regulations require commercial operations to be safe for pedestrian traffic, and R 10+ continues to win contracts across Australia for the supply and application of this proven anti-slip treatment.
